2017 will mark the 70th anniversary of the birth of a free and independent India. In a spectacular show of support, the City of Melbourne will help us mark our independence from the British Empire with a traditional flag hoisting ceremony to be held at Federation Square on Saturday, the 12th of August, at 11 am. We will be honoured to have in attendance festival delegates from the Indian media and government
